The Club Council produces each year a comprehensive report on the Club’s activities and finances, which is presented to the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Once approved it is submitted to the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator.
118th Annual General Meeting, 17 September 2025
The 118th AGM of the Old Edinburgh Club was held in the City Chambers on Wednesday, 17 September 2025 at 7pm.

Previous Annual Reports and General Meetings
We also held a Special General Meeting on 15 March 2023. This considered two matters:
1. Proposal to amend the Club’s Constitution
That the first sentence of clause 4 – “The annual subscription rates shall be recommended by Council to each Annual General Meeting” – be amended to read: “The annual subscription rates shall be recommended by Council for approval either by each year’s Annual General Meeting or earlier by a specially convened General Meeting of the Club.”
2. Annual subscription rates
The Council recommends for approval by the Special General Meeting that the annual subscription rates applicable as from 1 September 2023 shall be:

- Individual – £30

- Joint – £35
-
- Individual under 25 – £15.
Both propositions were accepted by members, both present in the hall and online, without objection.

The minutes and other records of the Club are available on request for inspection by members of the Club. Those for past years are held for reference by the Edinburgh and Scottish Collection in Edinburgh Central Library, George IV Bridge.
