Summer 2017 Extra Visit

Dear Member,

We have been lucky enough to have been offered a chance of an extra Visit this summer. This is being organised on behalf of the Club by Professor Richard Rodger. Places will be allocated by ballot. If you would like a place on this Visit please email Professor Rodger <richard.rodger@ed.ac.uk> by 1st June.

St Cecilia's Hall

This is a unique opportunity for OEC members to have a preview of the newly refurbished St Cecilia's Hall, built and completed for the Music Society of Edinburgh in 1763 to Robert Mylne's design. The tour will take just over an hour, and will include a visit to the refurbished Concert Hall and the four galleries of keyboard and other instrument collections. There will be a Donation Box for your contribution.

Venue:
Entry is at the very bottom of Niddry Street, 20 yards up from the Cowgate.
Times:
12 noon - 1.15 pm on Thursday 15 June
Cost:
Donation through a Box at St Cecilia's
